Today at Kallimarmaron Stadium the Panhellenic Day of Sports in School was celebrated! The event was for the 8th Panhellenic and European Sports Day in School with the motto “School on the move: Sporting Creatively”.
Olympians, Paralympians, who made us proud in Tokyo, athletes, students, pupils, teachers during a bright day at the Kallimarmaro Stadium, full of sports, games and discussions.
The Minister of Education Niki Kerameos together with the Deputy Minister of Sports Lefteris Avgenakis and the President of the Hellenic Paralympic Committee Christos Kaloudis and the Director of the HPC Sakis Kostaris.
Health, creativity, mental and physical strength, connection and integration of young and old people: sport makes us come closer, cultivates the well-being of the soul and body, travels us, makes us better.
Among the Paralympians who glorified Greece in Tokyo were the two “golden” Boys Nassos Ghavelas and Sotiris Gkaraganis together with his coach Nestor Kolovos. The trio of the BOCCIA Paralympians Grigoris Polychronidis, Anna Ntenda and Anastasia Pyrgiotis together with their sport assistants Katerina Polychronidis-Patronis, Christina Ntenda and Ioannis Pyrgiotis. All together celebrated the values and importance of sport, effort, participation, “fair play”. They awarded the Olympic and Paralympic medalists and coaches and ran symbolically with them at 100m.
Together were students from the 1st Primary School of Vrilissia and the 1st High School of Agia Paraskevi – they discussed with the children and played their favorite sports. And they ended the event with the children’s message: “We choose sports – every day!”
