On the occasion of the Olympic Day, today 23 June, the Embassy of Japan in Greece, sponsored by M/MARITIME, announces the organization of the digital race “Run For Tokyo”, as part of the celebration of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

For the first time in the history of the Olympic Games, athletes from all over the world will not compete in crowded stadiums or have their family and loved ones give them strength from the stands. Join the digital race to support all athletes and wish them success!

The event is under the auspices of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the Hellenic Paralympic Committee, the International Olympic Academy, the General Secretariat of Sport of the Ministry of Culture and Sport, the Municipality of Athens, the Central Association of Municipalities of Greece and is part of the events held by the International Olympic Committee for the Olympic Day which is celebrated on 23 June, the day of its foundation in 1894 and the assignment of the Olympic Games in Athens.
